No matter where you live, there’s some type of weather system you must contend with. On the coast, there’s hurricanes. Midwest and other places have tornados. Don’t forget the earthquakes and torrential rains that pop up without warning. I would be remiss if I overlooked the snowstorms that frequent the Northeast in winter. Despite the inconvenience these systems and storms cause, advances in meteorology allow for preparation in the event the storm comes near your home. This includes continued news coverage on the storms, interruptions in regularly scheduled programs, alarms when the bad weather is in the area, along with tips for remaining safe.
