As the school year slowly comes to an end, thoughts of future summer plans and wardrobe essentials arise in our minds. When searching through my closet, I seem to come upon broken zippers, ripped jeans (unintentionally at least), oil stains, and the list goes on. Luckily I’ve compiled a few tricks to reviving your summer wardrobe essentials easily and on your own.
The first item and most common item on the list is a broken or snagged zipper, commonly found on jeans or throw on jackets. All that’s needed to resolve the issue is either a crayon or vaseline. Once choosing your easiest tool rub the crayon/vaseline on either side of the zipper, and the snag should become unraveled.
Grab your sewing machine or a needle and thread, as the next item would be ripped jean. This section is a bit self-explanatory, as it stands as more of a reminder that all things can be mended. If you come across a torn pair of your favorite jeans, either utilize color thread to add a bit of color to your torn piece or use denim to create a perfect match.
The next two are the most essential in my life, as we have the keys to getting rid of stubborn makeup smudges and oil stains. When dealing with makeup smudges from your clothing, the only needed items are shaving creams and towels. For lighter stains you would only need to rub the shaving cream a few times and rinse, but for heavier stains you may need to repeat the process a few times.
Finally for stubborn oil stains, you’ll only need baby powder. You’ll need to leave the baby powder on the stain overnight.
I hope these tips will help with future events and mend any of wardrobe essentials in your life.
