PROM: Be the Positive One

It’s time to start planning for prom, which is one of the biggest social deals of high school. A lot of friends go without dates and just hang out with each other, and have as much fun as the couples. It may even take some of the stress off the night if you don’t have to worry about a date. Prom night is not like any other night, but it doesn’t mean that there aren’t rules and ways to act appropriately. You will probably have a later curfew and some special privileges, but make sure you stay true to yourself, and don’t fall to the pressure of doing things you wouldn’t normally do. Your parents are going to ask about your plans and they should ask. Listen to their expectations, and understand that going to prom is a right and not a privilege.
