Putting It On Paper

This program is designed for students grades 7th – 12th who have difficulty expressing themselves in writing, who have an interest in writing, desire a career in the literary world, wish to explore writing as a possible interest or simply want to hone their writing skills for school. The students receive exposure to the various forms of writing (essay, speech, fiction, nonfiction, journalistic and creative writing), individual feedback on their work and have an opportunity to reinforce the learning in a fun, creative, and relaxing way. Students benefit from one-on-one mentorship with adult writing professionals allowing them to enhance their journalist and writing skills for school and future employment. Upon completion of the seminar, students will be able to reinforce their newly learned writing skills by applying them to school, employment and their everyday lives.
